Cuero Community Foundation Adds Two Board Members

Cuero, TX – The Cuero Community Foundation is proud to announce the addition of two

esteemed individuals, Rebecca Reese Dawson and Wes Kubesch, to its Board of Directors.

Committed to aligning philanthropic efforts with community needs, the Cuero Community

Foundation (CCF) focuses on fortifying Cuero and neighboring areas for present and future

generations. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization headquartered in Cuero, Texas, CCF

collaborates with foundations, agencies, and organizations to address current and future needs

effectively.


About Rebecca Reese Dawson:

A Cuero native and fourth-generation resident of Dewitt County, Rebecca Reese Dawson graduated from Cuero High School in 1976 before pursuing dual bachelor's degrees at Baylor University. A distinguished "summa cum laude" graduate, Dawson furthered her education with a master's degree from West Texas State University and post-graduate studies at The University of Illinois. Embarking on a 31-year career in music education spanning five states with notable performances across the US and Europe, Dawson joined her husband

in their family's realty business in 2007. Currently, she works as a full-time realtor specializing in residential and ranch sales. Actively engaged in the community, Dawson serves on the Cuero Medical Foundation Board and volunteers at the First Baptist Church of Cuero. Alongside her husband and their beloved dog Charlie, she enjoys tending to their country property, hunting, fly fishing, and traveling to Mexico.


About Wes Kubesch:

A resident of Cuero, DeWitt County, Texas, Wes Kubesch and his wife Courtney, both Cuero High School graduates, returned to Cuero in 2019 with their four children. A Rice University graduate and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation holder, Wes brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to the table.


Currently serving as a Partner with Corient Wealth Management, Wes was previously the

President of Galapagos Partners, a leading multi-family office in Houston, Texas, before its

acquisition by Corient. Over the years, Wes has actively participated in various boards,

committees, and community organizations.


Bill Blackwell, President of the CCF Board, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The CCF is

pleased to welcome Rebecca and Wes to the board of directors. We were seeking members

with deep community roots, active engagement, and a shared vision for Cuero and the

surrounding communities. Their commitment aligns seamlessly with our mission, and we look

forward to their valuable contributions."
